Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior or Master Barber to join our team at Doom & Groom reading. The ideal candidate will possess an unwaivering passion for barbering whilst delivering exceptional finishes. With our proven track record in barbering, this role offers an opportunity to work in laid back, busy, rock and country themed new vintage barbershop, where craftsmanship, love of music and client satisfaction are paramount. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expert walk in barbering services, including the undertaking of all styles including cuthroat razor shaves. Maintaining high standards of hygiene, and ensuring clients leave feeling confident and satisfied will be mandatory.

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide range of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments with precision and professionalism.
Provide personalised consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles.
Maintain a clean and hygienic work station in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and foster loyalty.
Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and products within the barbering industry.
Uphold the companies standards of excellence in customer service at all times.

Skills

Extensive experience in barbering, with a portfolio demonstrating mastery of various hair styling techniques.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging confidently with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to listen carefully and deliver tailored grooming solutions.
Proficiency in hair styling tools and products, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Organised, reliable, and committed to continuous professional development within the craft of barbering.
