RVL is a well-established electronics design and manufacturing company with over 30 years' experience. Based in Matfield, near Tonbridge Kent we work with a wide range of domestic and international clients across sectors including medical, industrial, security and automotive. We have a strong reputation for producing high-quality, reliable products, and offering an exceptional service.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Production & Stores Operative to join our team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a successful and forward-thinking business where your contribution will play an important role in supporting our Production and Stores operations. You will be joining a friendly and collaborative team in an environment where commitment, teamwork, and personal development are genuinely valued.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of stock control operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment. You will work closely with both the Production and Stores teams to support the efficient handling of materials, goods, and kits, helping to ensure production runs smoothly and customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Receive deliveries of goods and supplies and book them accurately into our ERP system
Inspect incoming items for damage or missing parts and report any issues promptly
Store materials correctly and maintain an organised and efficient stock environment
Safely pack completed products ready for dispatch to customers
Support the kitting and de-kitting process for SMT/PTH production kits
Assist in managing stock accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counts
Investigate and record any stock discrepancies identified during countbacks
Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and within expected timeframes
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
Comply with company IT and data protection policies
Support the Production team with basic assembly tasks when required
Undertake any other reasonable duties to support the needs of the business

Skills and Attributes

Ability to work accurately, methodically, and as part of a team
Good numeracy and IT skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively
Ability to accurately complete paperwork and conduct stock counts
Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a production setting
A flexible approach and willingness to support across teams when needed
A clear understanding of the impact that errors or poor-quality work can have on customers and business performance

We offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with flexible working hours and an early finish Friday.

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a flexitime basis. Salary £24,785, dependent on experience.
