Kitchen & Bistro; Located on our 3rd floor, this more relaxed dining option caterers for the business guests all day and offers simple dishes using the best local ingredients Devon has offer.
As well as our 2 culinary offerings, we cater for meetings and events whilst hosting elite sports teams, along with bespoke celebrations.

The Role
We are looking for a confident and guest-focused F&B Supervisor to support the smooth day-to-day running of our bar operation at The View Restaurant. You will lead by example on shift, ensuring our team delivers a consistently high standard of service, product quality, and presentation—creating memorable moments for every guest.
You’ll be hands-on during service, supporting the team, maintaining standards, and ensuring the bar is fully prepared for each shift with excellent attention to detail, you will ideally have experience in mixology as we offer a hand crafted cocktail menu.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Restaurant team during service to ensure an efficient operation and that guest needs are met.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including set-up, checks, cleaning, and securing the bar/service areas.
- Maintain excellent standards of grooming, uniform, and professionalism across the team.
- Support stock control activities including monitoring levels, completing inventories, and ensuring correct storage/rotation practices (e.g., FIFO).
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and hygiene procedures, reporting hazards and incidents appropriately.
- Assist with training, coaching, scheduling support, and motivating the team—acting as a role model on shift.
- Handle guest feedback confidently and professionally, resolving issues in the moment where possible.
- Support effective bar operations including organisation, stock accuracy, and maintaining high standards under pressure.
About You
- Previous experience in a busy Restaurant environment, ideally with supervisory or shift-leading responsibility.
- Strong leadership skills with a calm, positive approach—especially during peak service.
- Excellent guest service skills and the confidence to engage with guests warmly and professionally.
- Organised, reliable, and detail-focused, with good standards around cleanliness and compliance.
- Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends and public holidays (as required for hospitality operations).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School completion
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
