An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Health Records Clerical Officers to join our busy team, providing administrative support within Health Records.
This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to gain hands on experience in a busy and thriving, supportive workplace.
Working Monday to Friday the post holder will primarily be based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy but depending on needs of the service may be required to provide cover at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
The Health Records Department provides multi-hospital/multi-section comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife incorporating Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status and NHS Fife Switchboard.
Previous Admin/Clerical experience preferably in a Health Records department is desirable. Previous experience working in a busy call centre is desirable. A knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality is preferred.
You must have the ability to prioritise and manage the day-to-day workload in a busy, fast paced environment. You must be able to follow instruction clearly and effectively. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision at times.
Good organisational & listening skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to working. A good level of English language competency and good communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively are required.
