We are looking for a highly skilled leader who is passionate about improving life chances for all through commitment to leading change and improvement that ensures positive outcomes for children and young people. As an Education Manager in Fife, you will have lead responsibility for specified strategic remit and educational and learning functions within a specified geographical area of Fife, as agreed with Heads of Service, and will provide key support with particular regard to quality assurance, service development, social inclusion and customer care.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Have lead management responsibility for a group of secondary, primary schools, special schools and early years centres, with a particular focus on improving the quality of learning and teaching, attainment and achievement for all learners.
Oversee the networks of support in place to support leaders/staff across the Directorate in meeting learner’s needs, e.g. Special Schools Headteachers, Primary Enhanced Provision HTs, Secondary Enhanced Provision PTs and Secondary DHT (Support/3.1).
Strategic overview of Placing Requests and ASN Tribunals, working with EM’s, QIO’s, Ed Psych Service and HT’s.
Qualifications, Registration and Skill Requirements

While part of the role can be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
