We are passionate about helping people create beautiful outdoor spaces and are looking for a commercially minded Junior Buyer to join our growing team.
The Role
We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Junior Buyer to support our Buying team in sourcing and managing a diverse range of seasonal products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in retail buying within a fast-paced and highly seasonal environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to help deliver commercially successful product ranges while ensuring stock availability, quality, and value for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of specific product categories including reserve management
- Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers.
- Assist with range planning and seasonal product selection
- Monitor stock levels and maintain an in stock model whilst monitoring stock value.
- Analyse sales performance and market trends
- Maintain accurate product and supplier information
- Liaise with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to support product launches and promotions
About You
We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a buying, purchasing, or commercial support role
- Experience working within a seasonal business would be highly beneficial
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Confident communicator with good relationship-building abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Desirable
- Horticultural knowledge or experience would be an advantage
- Experience within retail, e-commerce, or garden-related sectors
