Full job description

Job Purpose:

Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Painter at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure vehicles are prepared and masked to the highest standards ready for paint application.
Spray painting of the vehicles using water based and solvent paints.
Identify best repair methods and communicate with preppers/ maskers to highlight any issues.
Knowledge and ability to perform different paint applications, IR, 3 stage pearls, tinted lacquer, etc
Ensure company equipment is maintained.
To ensure daily checks are being carried out.
Responsible for ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
Complete EPR logs to ensure daily checks are being carried out.
Ensure all PPE is worn at all times.
Any ad hoc duties on request.

Essential:

Previous automotive painting experience.
Previous experience of fast paced body shop.
Driving licence required.

Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
