Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with workshop activities, including general fabrication and assembly. The work undertaken involves fabricating metalwork, GRP profiles and grating products, to create walkway and access systems. Work with metal profiles is also undertaken, including welding and cutting.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and machinery, to fabricate components as per specifications.
- Follow drawings and specifications to guide the fabrication process.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to support fabrication tasks and measurements.
- Carry out spot welding.
Requirements
- Experience working with hand tools in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking skills related to production tasks.
- A proactive approach to learning new skills and techniques in fabrication processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working hours are 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime is required occasionally.
