Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive Compliance Assistant to support our Head of Compliance in ensuring that our business and appointed representatives meet all regulatory obligations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop a career in compliance within the motor trade and financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Compliance in managing all FCA-related queries from internal teams and external motor dealers.
- Support dealers with applications and queries regarding FCA permissions.
- Monitor day-to-day compliance across the organisation and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Assist with the logging, investigation, and resolution of customer complaints in line with FCA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and reports.
- Help ensure policies, procedures, and documentation remain up to date and fit for purpose.
- Contribute to staff training initiatives and the promotion of a strong compliance culture.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a compliance, financial services, or motor trade environment.
- Basic understanding of FCA regulations and principles.
- Experience handling customer complaints or regulatory submissions.
