About the role
This role leads in-region Record-to-Report (R2R) operations within a global shared services framework, ensuring rigorous financial control, compliance, and reporting integrity. It oversees the delivery of a high-quality financial close through an offshore team, while partnering closely with the business to challenge assumptions, influence outcomes, and strengthen performance and accountability across the region.
This role provides oversight and governance of audits, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple legal entities, while driving process efficiency and continuous improvement, with an end-to-end focus across onshore and offshore activities to enable global standardisation.
As a member of the Europe Finance Leadership Team, & dotted reporting line into the Europe Finance and Commercial Planning Director, the position partners with regional and global stakeholders, building strong relationships, facilitating appropriate business ownership within process end-to-end.
The role is supported by an onshore Finance Analyst who's primarily responsible for the co-ordination of the regional statutory reporting requirements and will provide support across Europe R2R activities.
About you
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience Big 4 audit experience is preferred
Experience in similar industry (FMCG, Manufacturing, Food & Beverages) ideal
People Management experience, as well as an ability to work individually.
Strong understanding and proven experience in financial control activities, leading external audit procedures, and delivery of statutory reporting requirements.
The person needs to be able to evidence a structured, organised approach to ensure quality outcomes are delivered in accordance with tight timeframes. This is particularly pertinent in the context of ensuring local statutory reporting deliverables re lodged / prepared on time.
Experience managing an offshore / BPO team preferred and commitment to change and effectiveness though shared service model
Must be confident, self-starter who is willing to engage with staff at all levels.
Strong ability to influence.
Highly collaborative with others across the global Finance teams and other functions to ensure key learning and best practices.
Very good analytical skills.
High interpersonal & communication skills.
Travel to Mumbai as required.
Knowledge of JDE, Blackline & HFM useful
