At Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, we're looking for a proactive and organised Agent to support our conveyancing operations across Kent within Invicta Legal Services.
You'll play a vital role in the property transaction process by conducting local authority searches, gathering key information and producing accurate reports to support conveyancers and clients.

What You'll Be Doing
As a valued member of the team, you'll be responsible for carrying out local authority searches and ensuring accurate information is obtained and reported to support residential property transactions.
This role is primarily remote; however, there may be occasional requirements to visit local authorities within Kent. Therefore, applicants must reside within Kent, have access to their own transport and be willing to travel as required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking searches on behalf of conveyancers by arranging appointments and visiting local authority offices across Kent
- Producing local authority search reports for use within the conveyancing process
- Researching local authority and related organisation websites to obtain additional property information
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with local authority staff and departments
- Assisting with obtaining urgent appointments and outstanding information where required
- Managing your own workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Accurately recording and reporting information obtained during searches
- Supporting the wider team by ensuring searches are completed efficiently and professionally
What We're Looking For

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good administrative skills with the ability to record and report information accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A confident, friendly and professional manner when dealing with people in person and over the phone
- The ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks effectively
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- A full driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous given the travel requirements across Kent
