This year 2024 will once again mark the history of Jouffre as we seek to develop a new workshop in London, Jouffre Limited. This project represents much more than a simple expansion, it’s for us a real challenge and an opportunity to build something remarkable again.
Carry out, from the beginning to the end, all the stages of manufacturing furniture (armchairs, beds, sofas and seats) according to precise and defined conditions
- Sewing both by hand and by machine
- Making any type of curtains (sheers, drapes, unlined, lined, interlined...)
- Making any type of shades (roman shades, balloon shades, with ribs...)
- Making any kind of pleats
- Applying any kind of trimmings
- Work with tickets.
We are looking for an Experienced Seamstress autonomous and proactive with strong technical skills in upholstery! The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team and must have a real ability to transmit and share their know-how.
The right candidate must have the ability to complete jobs following a schedule, sometimes in a short time, while maintaining a high level of quality and without compromising the integrity of the job.
Qualifications needed:
- Mastery of any types of window treatment is required
- Experience: 5 years minimum
- Language: English mandatory, French is a plus
The following skills are a plus:
- Mastery of window decors
- Cutting fabrics (both plain and with repeat)
- Making pillows and bolsters
- Making bed treatments such as bed canopy, bedspreads, bed-skirts, throw blankets etc.
