Full job description

We are looking for an electrician to work alongside our team of installation and service engineers. The job role requires you to be able to install, test and fault find to a good standard on a range of wiring systems for remedial and small electrical works.

Basic activities comprise of the following:

Small to medium electrical installation works
Lighting remedial/ upgrade works
Routine testing and inspecting of emergency lighting systems
Routine maintenance of electrical systems

This job opportunity comes with the following:

1. Health and safety training where needed.

2. Supplied company vehicle.

3. Company mobile phone.

4.Test equipment and plant required for the job.

5. Opportunity to learn and install other disciplines such as fire detection systems, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems.

It is preferred you hold the current level of training and be able to undertake electrical testing in accordance with BS7671.

Additional training will be provided for other systems that we work with while under employment.

You must be physically able to work on a construction site using hand tools and various plant. You will also need to be able to use mobile devices for job completion and job booking.

We expect applicants to :

Have very good understanding of BS7671 and testing procedures.
Be able to complete NICEIC certificates.
Have good communication skills
Be well presented
Be able to work as part of a team and communicate to others

Hourly rate based on skill set and experience

A full UK driving license is required.

Candidates must be able to pass an enhanced security screening process.

Standard hours are from 0800- 16:30 Monday to Friday (40 hours a week) with the exception of some pre planned overtime.

29 days holiday with an additional day every year of continued employment.

Area of coverage for work will be primarily in the Devon and Cornwall area.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £17.00 per hour
