Full job description

We are a 4-Star Country House Hotel and Spa located 4 miles from Bovey Tracey, near Haytor therefore transport would be essential (no live-in accommodation is provided) . We are family owned and run and have 25 bedrooms, a 2AA rosette restaurant, a bistro bar with large sun terrace and an award winning spa.

We are looking for someone with a positive and friendly attitude and a commitment to delivering a high level of customer service. A passion for Food and Beverage is a must as is the ability to lead and motivate.

As Duty Manager you will be in charge of a team on shift whether it’s a busy breakfast, a function lunch or taking charge of Dinner service. You will also be responsible for pushing the upselling of premium products and training of staff. We want candidates who will bring new and fresh ideas and are always looking for ways to improve both themselves and the those around them. This role would be Front of House orientated so prior experience with this would be desirable.

The ideal candidate will:

Be organised

Have good communication skills
Be happy working in a team yet pro-active when working alone
Flexibility to work hours as determined by the business
Show a willingness to learn
Preferably have experience in training and leading a team.

There is no live-in accommodation available and your own transport is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
