We are looking for a talented HPC Engineer to help push the boundaries of simulation, aerodynamics, and data-driven decision-making. Develop, maintain, and optimise the team’s High-Performance Computing infrastructure to support CFD, simulation, and analytics workloads.

Collaborate closely with Aerodynamics, CFD, and Software Engineering departments to ensure seamless workflow execution.

Benchmark, tune, and troubleshoot performance issues across clusters, schedulers, interconnects, storage, and compute nodes.

Support the deployment and scaling of engineering applications, including CFD solvers and data-processing tool chains.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Contribute to long-term HPC roadmap planning, including hardware refresh cycles and architectural improvements.
Requirements

What do you need to bring to the team?

Proven experience in HPC system administration or engineering within scientific, automotive, aerospace, or similar high-performance environments.

Strong knowledge of Linux systems, cluster management, job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF), and parallel computing.

Experience with profiling, optimisation, and troubleshooting MPI/OpenMP-based applications.
-
Familiarity with HPC networking, storage, security, and performance tuning.
-
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
-
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Desirable
-
Experience using or supporting large-scale HPC environments.

Knowledge of CFD workflows, meshing strategies, and solver tuning.

Cloud-based HPC experience.

Exposure to containerisation (Singularity/Apptainer, Docker) or orchestration technologies.

Experience optimising workloads on GPU-accelerated systems.
