Job Overview
Ballet Teacher – RAD Ballet School, Brighton

A friendly and professional RAD ballet school in Brighton is seeking a caring, experienced, and inspiring ballet teacher to join our wonderful team.

We are looking for someone with strong working knowledge of the RAD syllabus from Pre-Primary through to Advanced levels passionate about nurturing dancers in a positive and encouraging environment.

Alongside our children’s programme in Ballet, Contemporary Dance and Musical Theatre we also have a thriving adult ballet community, with students ranging from adult improvers through to advanced level dancers. We are therefore looking for a teacher who is equally confident and enthusiastic teaching both children and adults, and who can create an inclusive, motivating, and supportive atmosphere for all ages and abilities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience teaching RAD Ballet from Pre-Primary to Advanced levels
Be confident teaching both children and adults
Demonstrate excellent artistry and musicality
Be warm, caring, patient, and professional
Inspire confidence, creativity, and a love of dance in students of all ages
Create a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Hold relevant teaching qualifications, enhanced DBS check and safeguarding awareness
Plan and deliver engaging ballet classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels
Prepare students for performances, examinations, or competitions as required

Requirements

Proven experience as a ballet teacher or professional dancer with a strong understanding of classical ballet technique
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all ages
Organised, patient, and able to adapt teaching methods to individual needs
Passionate about dance education with a commitment to fostering artistic growth in students
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary
