We specialise in delivering high-quality solar PV and battery storage systems and are now looking to bring an experienced solar professional into a customer-facing role within our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solar Installer, Supervisor, or Site Lead looking to come off the tools and move into a more consultative, long-term career path within the renewables industry.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Domestic & Commercial Solar Consultant to manage customer enquiries from initial consultation through to contract agreement.
This role is ideally suited to someone with hands-on solar installation experience who understands systems in the real world and can confidently guide customers through the technical and financial benefits of solar PV and battery storage solutions.
You’ll work with both homeowners and commercial clients, using your practical knowledge to design effective systems, build customer confidence, and help convert opportunities into completed projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with domestic and commercial customers to assess energy usage and site suitability
- Carry out site surveys (remote and in-person where required)
- Design and propose solar PV and battery storage systems
- Prepare quotations and proposals with clear financial benefits including ROI and payback
- Explain technical solutions in a simple, professional, customer-friendly manner
- Convert qualified leads into signed contracts
- Work closely with installation and project delivery teams to ensure smooth handovers
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline updates
About You
This role would suit an experienced Solar PV Installer, Electrician, or Site Supervisor looking to step into a less physically demanding position while still using your technical knowledge and industry experience.
You will ideally have:
- Previous hands-on experience installing solar PV systems
- Strong understanding of solar PV, inverters, battery storage, and system design
- Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build customer trust
- The ability to manage your own workload and appointments
- Full UK driving licence
Experience using proposal or design software such as OpenSolar or SolarEdge is beneficial, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
