Junior Software Developer (On-site)

The Role

As a Junior Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on our in-house web applications and services, learning from experienced members of the team, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities will include:

Working with the senior developer and other members of the team to develop and maintain company web applications and services.
Assist in the design, coding, testing and implementation of new solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in live or testing environments.
Organise and carry out code reviews to ensure code quality and provide feedback to the team.
Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development

Earnings & Rewards

Basic salary: £25,000 (based on a 37.5-hour week)

Desirable skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent practical experience
Understanding of Node.js and associated libraries (in particular Express and Sequelize)
Experience of using MySQL and MSSQL databases
Experience of server-side templating languages (Handlebars or equivalent)
Experience of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS & JavaScript)
Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
Knowledge of Linux environment
Experience with WordPress

Working Hours

This is an office based role, you must be able to reliably commute to Mamhilad Park Estate.
