Full job description

JN Building Services Ltd is seeking experienced Controls Electricians on a subcontract basis to support a major Building Management System (BMS) installation project at Bournemouth Hospital.

The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out electrical and controls installation works as part of a wider BMS upgrade programme within a live healthcare environment.

Scope of Works

Installation of BMS control panels.
Installation of containment including tray, basket, trunking and conduit.
Installation and termination of control cabling.
Wiring of sensors, actuators, valves, meters and other field devices.
Installation of power supplies and local isolators.
Working from electrical schematics and control drawings.
Carrying out electrical installation works to a high standard.
Ensuring compliance with current regulations, site procedures and health & safety requirements.
Maintaining accurate records of completed works where required.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrician working on commercial or industrial projects.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
ECS/CSCS Card.
Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
Experience with containment systems and control cabling installations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Own hand tools and transport.

Desirable Experience

Previous BMS controls installation experience.
HVAC controls installation experience.
Experience working within hospital or healthcare environments.
IPAF Licence.
PASMA Licence.
Inspection and Testing qualifications (2391/2395).

Project Information

Major BMS installation project at Bournemouth Hospital.
Ongoing work available for the right candidates.
Fortnightly payments. Rates of pay dependant on experience
Immediate start available.
