Full job description

The Cutting Shop (Pre-fab) Supervisor leads and manages the day-to-day pre-fab production operations for the business. Responsible for overall cutting shop management as well as leading the existing team of machine shop operators.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Responsible for overall management of production activities and achieving production targets with required capabilities, yield and lead time.
Optimizes the cutting, folding, machining and kitting processes in terms of consistent quality and productivity.
‘Hands on’ approach to ensure that machines are operating efficiently
Training new employees on the use of the machinery
Responsible for development of company manufacturing standards/methods and policies.
Responsible for development, justification, and implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives in quality, productivity, efficiency, capacity and safety.
Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Two to three years of experience in supervisory role.
Must have hands on experience with CNC lasers, plasmas and press brakes.
Experienced in implementing improvements to increase productivity and efficiencies.
Must possess recognizable and demonstrable leadership skills, exercise good judgment, be well organized, and have excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.
Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Windows and Office software applications

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
