Company Overview

Bowen Chinese School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative Art & Design Teacher to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about inspiring young people through art, encouraging creativity, and helping children develop confidence and self-expression in a fun and supportive learning environment. At Bowen Chinese School, we are committed to delivering high-quality educational and enrichment programmes where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine.

Main Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons for children, primarily aged 5–11 years.
Encourage creativity, imagination, and artistic skills through a variety of art activities and projects.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
Adapt teaching to suit different ages and abilities.
Prepare teaching materials and maintain art resources.
Follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies.

About the Role

Location: Bowen Chinese School, Sale
Working Day: Sundays during term time
Hours: Flexible and can be discussed depending on availability
Contract: Part-time

Essential Requirements

Experience teaching or working with children (school, club, or community setting).
Passion for Art & Design and working with young people.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

DBS Requirement

The successful candidate will be required to hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, preferably registered with the DBS Update Service. If you do not currently have one, we can arrange this as part of the recruitment process.
