About Us

Established in 1999, Murray Building Services are an expanding commercial and industrial building services and maintenance company with a group turnover approaching £11 million. With over 50 employees, secured framework contracts and continued growth, we are now in a position where we find ourselves requiring an enthusiastic and experienced commercial electrician.

We are seeking an experienced electrician with a proven track record and past experience in the commercial sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, ensuring safety standards, and supporting clients

Key Responsibilities

As part of our maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems across a range of commercial properties. Your day-to-day work will include:

Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance,

for example EICR Testing, Emergency Lighting Testing, DB health checks

Installing, upgrading, and maintaining electrical equipment
Responding to reactive maintenance requests
Ensuring compliance with all electrical and safety regulations

Skills & Experience Required

Qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent)
Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and fault-finding
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Pass an Enhanced DBS check
Full and valid UK Driving Licence
