The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our growing finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming funds, maintaining accurate customer account balances, and supporting the administration of local authority funding and personal contributions for service users.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work accurately within financial systems and CRM platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile incoming payments from local authorities, service users, and other funding bodies.
- Add and allocate funds accurately to service users' CRM balance sheets and accounts.
- Monitor and maintain account balances to ensure funds are correctly reflected and available for authorised expenditure.
- Process personal contributions and ensure they are accurately recorded against individual service user accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, missing remittances, and allocation issues.
- Liaise with local authorities, service users, care providers, and internal departments regarding funding queries.
- Produce regular reports on outstanding balances, receipts, and account activity.
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end reconciliation processes and finance reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, financial controls, and company policies at all times.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience within Accounts Receivable, Finance Administration, Bookkeeping, or a similar financial role would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office 365 skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of social care funding, direct payments, managed accounts, or Appointeeship services.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls.

Pay: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
