Paint & Prepper – QRC Paint Shop

Location: Bedford
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

At QRC, we specialise in high-quality auto body repairs and refinishing. Our paint shop is equipped with modern facilities, and our team takes pride in delivering first-class results. We are now looking for a skilled Paint & Prepper to join our growing team in Bedford.

The Role

As a Paint & Prepper, you’ll play a vital role in preparing vehicles and panels for painting. From sanding and masking to priming and finishing, your work will ensure every job is completed to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely with experienced paint sprayers and body repair technicians in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles and panels for paintwork, including sanding, filling, masking, and priming.
Mix and apply primers and sealers as required.
Ensure all surfaces are smooth and ready for topcoat application.
Work to deadlines while maintaining QRC’s high-quality standards.
Keep the paint shop clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety procedures.
Support the wider team to ensure efficient workflow.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a vehicle prepper or in a similar role (preferred).
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and fillers.
Ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
A positive, can-do attitude and good teamwork skills.
