The Role
Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking an excellent, creative and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our Welsh Language Immersion Partnership.
The postholder will:
Support the teacher in delivering a high‑quality language immersion experience for pupils who are new to Welsh‑medium education
Work directly with small groups and individual learners to develop confidence and fluency in Welsh
Monitor learner progress and record observations to inform next steps
Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
Support language acquisition approaches, including play‑based learning, interactive activities and immersion strategies
Support learners with Additional Learning Needs, using trauma‑informed and neurodiversity‑aware approaches
Work closely with parents/guardians, school leaders and partner agencies
Collaborate with colleagues in other immersion centres locally and beyond
This role will be key in ensuring excellent immersion provision and equity for all learners.
