About Us

Edinburgh Windows and Doors Ltd are specialist manufacturers and installers of high-quality timber sash and case windows and doors. We are a small, close-knit team that takes pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and delivering quality products to our customers.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bench Joiner to join our workshop team in Livingston. You will be responsible for manufacturing traditional timber sash and case windows and doors to a high standard, working independently and as part of a skilled workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing timber sash and case windows and doors to a high standard
Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications
Operating workshop machinery safely and effectively
Milling, shaping, and assembling timber components
Glazing sash and case windows and timber doors where required
Ensuring accuracy and maintaining high levels of workmanship throughout production
Supporting general day-to-day workshop operations and maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a Bench Joiner, preferably within timber windows and doors
Experience manufacturing sash and case windows and timber doors
Experience in timber milling and glazing
Machinery experience, including:

o Spindle moulder
o Tenoner
o Morticer

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Role Responsibilities

Manufacture of sash and case and casement timber windows and external door-sets.
Fitting ironmongery to windows and doors with experience in making timber windows.
Ensuring the workshop and warehouse remain clean and tidy with exemplary factory hygiene
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed meticulously (full training will be given)

The candidate must have experience in constructing sash windows.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
