Step into a rewarding role as an
Emergency Care Assistant, where every shift makes a real difference. Youll be responsible for safely caring for and transporting non-emergency patients, along with their relatives and healthcare staff, using your training, expertise and the resources available to you. Beyond this, youll draw on your FREC4 training to deliver high-quality emergency care, confidently responding to both life-threatening and non-life-threatening situations with professionalism and compassion.
Its a role that requires patience, empathy and resilience as, whilst the role is incredibly rewarding, it can be physically and emotionally demanding. This is a shift-based role, working 40 hours per week and youll work as part of a rota covering early mornings, evenings, lates and night shifts, which can fall on any day across the 7-day week, including weekends and public holidays. Shifts will vary, so flexibility is essential. We also welcome interest from candidates who may be looking for part-time hours.
Summary Of Main Duties Include

Deliver safe and effective patient care, using your skills and training to make professional clinical judgements.

Provide essential emergency interventions, including airway management, AED use, oxygen administration and monitoring patients vital signs.

Safely transport patients to and from treatment centres, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing at all times.

Drive and maintain ambulance vehicles in line with legal requirements, company standards and safety protocols.

Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and maintain patient confidentiality.
