Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and be involved in the assembly of mechanical components, contributing to the production of a high-quality product. This paid role is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in technical manufacturing and gain practical experience with various tools and systems.

Duties

Assist in the assembly of mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
Learn to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) equipment under supervision
Carry out basic inspections of assembled products to ensure quality standards are met
Follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures accurately
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with experienced technicians to develop technical skills and understanding of assembly processes

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical principles
A practically minded person who with the ability to read engineering drawings.
Mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn new skills in assembly and manufacturing processes
Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and teamwork
No prior experience necessary; suitable for candidates seeking entry-level positions with training opportunities
