- Term Time Hours: 17.5 hours per week, Mon-Friday afternoon (2:30pm-6:30pm)
Salary: From £17.50 per hour
- Consisting of 37 weeks term time hours
- Optional overtime of 11 weeks of school holiday camp management (Monday to Friday 8am till 6pm) paid at a daily camp rate.
Role Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate seeking a year-round role within after-school activities and holiday camps. Reporting to the Clubs Operations Manager and working closely with the wider SuperCamps team, the Super Clubs Manager plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Oxford prep schools’ wraparound care programme.
The role focuses on ensuring the provision of safe, engaging, and inclusive environments, where children can access high-quality, creative, and age-appropriate play opportunities. The Super Clubs Manager will contribute to maintaining excellent standards of care, supporting operational delivery, and enhancing the overall experience for children, parents, and partner schools.
What is SuperClubs? SuperClubs, a SuperCamps brand, runs the wraparound care provision at Oxford High Junior School, GDST. Our club includes a variety of sports, games, and arts & crafts. With a range of activities to choose from, our children continue to learn new skills and play new games.
Duties of the role include:
- Plan, develop and deliver safe, engaging, and age-appropriate play activities in a fun and caring environment with your team.
- Ensure the safe arrival and departure of children, following sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Lead the Super Clubs provision during term time and holidays, acting as the key link between Super Clubs and Super Camps.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, proactively identifying risks and taking appropriate action to manage them.
- Complete and regularly review risk assessments for activities, spaces, and equipment, ensuring all control measures are followed by the team.
- Provide snacks and refreshments in line with food hygiene standards, including safe preparation, storage, and allergen awareness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment, including food preparation areas. Implementing and monitoring daily operational and safety checklists, including health & safety, risk assessments, food hygiene, cleanliness, and equipment checks, ensuring all standards are consistently met and accurately recorded.
- Administer first aid where necessary, ensuring all incidents are accurately recorded and reported.
- Set up and clear down club spaces daily, including moving equipment and furniture where required.
- Manage administration, including child records, staff files, ordering equipment, and stock control within budget.
- Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and colleagues, supporting clear communication at all times.
- Lead, support, and motivate staff through regular meetings, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Promote inclusive practice and ensure all activities are delivered within an equal opportunities framework.
- Work in line with company policies and procedures, maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding, health & safety, and duty of care.
Person specification:
- Experience or working with 4 – 11 year old children in a childcare setting, and understanding their needs.
- Previous Management experience, including business administration is desirable
- Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, including working remotely
- An appropriate qualification in Childcare or Play work at NVQ Level 3 or the equivalent is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to undertake appropriate training is essential
- Candidates must be enthusiastic, honest, reliable, hardworking and most importantly willing to have fun and enjoy working with children.
