Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal delivery
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and techniques
- Assist with stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
- Serve food to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
- Prior experience in serving customers or working front-of-house is advantageous but not essential
