SLM Vauxhall Hastings is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving to join our busy workshop team. MOT licence is preferred.
As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, you will be working in a busy Vauxhall workshop environment, where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the Vauxhall brand. SLM Group takes pride in supporting our employees in developing their knowledge through training opportunities available.
Our Vauxhall Technicians work Monday to Friday - no weekends!
What we’re looking for in a Vehicle Technician:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent
- Experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and diagnostics
- Main dealer experience and MOT licence (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Team player with a customer-focused attitude
Key responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:
- Carry out vehicle services and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and fix non-routine defects
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and accurately
- Work collaboratively with the dealership team
