Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Car Paint Sprayer and panel beater to join our automotive refinishing team. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as necessary
- Mix paints and colours accurately to match specifications
- Operate spray guns and other painting equipment with precision
- Apply multiple coats of paint, ensuring an even and smooth finish
- Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to identify imperfections or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of painting equipment as required
- Heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components when necessary, following safe handling procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Car Paint Sprayer or similar role within an automotive workshop or body shop
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle painting processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools associated with automotive refinishing
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in colour matching and finishing techniques
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged standing periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to spray painting environments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
