IT Engineer (Hybrid – Onsite / Helpdesk / Cyber Security)

Hampshire / Southampton/Romsey area | Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a flexible, personable IT Engineer to join our growing team at HB Technology.

This isn’t a typical helpdesk role — you’ll be working across:

Client sites
Remote support / helpdesk
Cyber Essentials and security-focused tasks

If you enjoy variety, being out with clients, and delivering great service, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing onsite IT support across client environments
Supporting Cyber Essentials readiness – patching, MFA, access controls, security improvements
Handling helpdesk tickets (1st / 2nd line) and remote troubleshooting
Installing and configuring IT equipment
Supporting projects and client rollouts
Ensuring excellent communication and a right-first-time approach

What We’re Looking For

✅ 2+ years in an IT support / MSP role
✅ Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge
✅ Experience of onsite / field-based support
✅ Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
✅ A proactive, organised, “can-do” attitude
✅ Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Experience with Cyber Essentials / IT security
Azure / networking knowledge
