Full job description

Location: Paws for Thought Cat Café, Romsey

Hours: Part-time, primarily Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with flexibility for additional cover when required.

We are looking for a special person to join our small, friendly team at Paws for Thought Cat Café.

This is more than just a café job. We are searching for someone who genuinely wants to become part of our business, build relationships with our customers, and bring passion, care and commitment to everything they do.

The role will involve taking over responsibilities currently carried out by a much-loved and valued member of our team. Because of this, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of consistency, reliability and providing exceptional customer service. We want to find someone who can continue the high standards and warm atmosphere our customers have come to know and love.

Someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
A reliable team member who is flexible and willing to help with additional shifts and cover when needed.
Someone who takes pride in preparing drinks and food to a high standard.

Someone who understands that working in a small independent business means occasionally being flexible when the needs of the café and cats require it.

The role

Your main responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and looking after customers.
Preparing and serving drinks and light food.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Helping create a warm, welcoming and enjoyable experience for every visitor.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the café.

For the right person, there will also be opportunities in the future to become involved with the care and welfare of our resident cats. This will be considered once you have settled into the role and demonstrated the right level of commitment, responsibility and passion for the business.
