Purpose:
The purpose of the Warehouse Operative (Picker) role is to support the timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders, contributing to efficient warehouse operations and high service standards.

Detail:
The Warehouse Operative (Picker) is responsible for locating and collecting items within the warehouse using manual pick lists and handheld scanners connected to a Warehouse Management System (WMS). The role involves verifying quantities and product details, updating system records, and preparing goods for onward processing, while maintaining strong attention to accuracy, productivity, and safety.

Monday - Friday 06:00 - 18:00
Responsibilities
· Accurately pick products from warehouse locations
· Required to pick via both Printed/manual pick lists & Handheld scanning devices (WMS system)
· Ensure all picked items match order requirements in terms of: Product code / description / quantity
· Use WMS scanners to: Confirm item selection / update stock movements in real time / identify correct pick locations
· Organise picked goods securely for packing and dispatch
· Maintain productivity targets while ensuring high levels of accuracy
· Conduct basic quality checks to ensure goods are undamaged and fit for dispatch
· Assist with stock replenishment and put-away where required
· Report stock discrepancies or system issues to supervisors
· Perform handballing of goods as required to move stock safely and efficiently inbound, within and outbound of the warehouse
· Ensure load stability and protection through effective wrapping and securing of goods for transit
· Adhere to customers’ requirements
· Report any issues, hazards, near misses or incidents promptly.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
· Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across the group.
· Support new staff with basic training or guidance.
· As part of the continuous improvement plan of the group, support the implementation and monitoring of KPIs
Pay: £31,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
