Full job description

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Drama Club Instructor / Supervisor to run a weekly after-school Drama Club at a primary school in Coventry (CV5). This role gives children the opportunity to develop confidence, communication, creativity, and teamwork through drama, storytelling, improvisation, and performance in a fun and supportive environment.

The club runs Thursdays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm (1 hour per week).

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in engaging drama activities.
Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate sessions that include improvisation, role play, storytelling, character development, script work, and drama games.
Encourage creativity, confidence, communication, and self-expression through performance-based activities.
Support children in developing teamwork, presentation skills, and stage confidence in an inclusive and encouraging environment.
Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children's participation and progress.
Ensure the activity space and any equipment are safe, organised, and prepared for each session.

Experience & Skills

Experience teaching drama, theatre, acting, or performing arts to children in schools, clubs, or similar settings.
Ability to inspire and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
A background in drama, theatre, performing arts, education, or youth theatre is desirable.

Pay: £30.00 per hour
