Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Mixologist to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative cocktails and delivering exceptional customer service in a lively bar or restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mixology skills while ensuring guests enjoy memorable experiences. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in the hospitality industry, whether experienced or new to the field.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and customer preferences
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service and recommendations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the foh area, including glassware, utensils, and ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, adhering to cash handling procedures
Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-service
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or food service, particularly within a bar or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, drink presentation, and garnishing techniques
Excellent communication and serving skills with a friendly demeanour
Good understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic maths skills for handling payments and managing stock levels accurately
Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
