Events Sales & Administration Manager (Wedding & Events Venue)

— Donington Park Farmhouse

Donington Park Farmhouse is a busy Wedding & Events venue looking for an experienced Events Sales & Administration Manager to lead our client journey from initial enquiry through to handover to the Operations team on event day.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who combines exceptional wedding/events administration, confident client-facing sales, and strong marketing & social media capability. While experience is essential, the most important thing is your personality, work ethic, and pride in delivering outstanding events.

What you’ll be responsible for

- Managing all event client meetings (venue show rounds, planning meetings, and pre-event details)

- Owning the event sales process: enquiry handling, lead management, follow-up, conversion, and upsell

- End-to-end event administration: from enquiry to final details and operational handover

- Producing clear, accurate function sheets & billing

- Ensuring smooth communication with Operations and Kitchen teams

- Managing wedding bedroom reservations administration

- Owning the business marketing and sales budgets, processes, and reporting

- Leading the venue’s marketing activity, including being ideally the day-to-day owner of our social media accounts

- Keeping on top of wedding industry trends, competitor activity, and the local market (strong competitive awareness)

What we’re looking for

- Wedding experience essential (senior wedding/event coordination background preferred)

- Strong experience in wedding & events planning and administration

- Confident, warm, professional inter-personal skills (you’ll meet clients to sell, plan, and guide)

- Process-driven approach with excellent organisation and attention to detail

- Strong IT skills (comfortable producing precise documents and managing multiple systems at speed)

- Event sales experience essential; CRM experience preferred

- Marketing experience preferred, including social media management

- Corporate / conferences & banqueting (C&B) experience preferred

Shift pattern (important)

- Must be able to work weekends and two evenings per week

- Days off will be weekdays

- Shifts may vary depending on events or holiday cover

- Closed on Christmas Day & Boxing Day, and often for longer.

Location (important)

We are in a rural location — own is car essential. Please do not apply if you do not have your own car.
