An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our busy Control Room based in Kettering. As a Control Room Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, handling a variety of responsibilities including call handling, CCTV monitoring, and supporting alarm response services.
Shift Pattern
- 4 on / 4 off (Days: 07:00 – 19:00)
- 1 vacancy available
Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work night shifts to cover sickness, holidays, and business needs. Training will also be conducted on nights.

Key Responsibilities
- Handling incoming telephone calls (clients, staff, monitoring stations)
- Monitoring CCTV systems
- Deploying Alarm Response Officers
- Managing the Lone Worker Check Call System
- Completing general administrative tasks
- Providing cover for sickness and holiday on-site (a key requirement of the role)
Requirements
- Valid Front-Line SIA Licence (essential)
- Valid CCTV Licence (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points; automatic accepted) – required due to mobile training and potential deployment
- Willingness to undertake mobile training as part of the role
- Strong IT skills and ability to learn in-house systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proactive, positive attitude
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts when required
