AFTERCARE & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Blue Forest is an award-winning designer and builder of luxury treehouses and unique structures. Based in East Sussex, we create bespoke projects ranging from luxury accommodation and private retreats to commercial developments in the hospitality and education sectors.
We're looking for an Aftercare & Maintenance Technician to join our specialist team.
The Role
Reporting to the Aftercare & Support Manager, you'll assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and aftercare services across our portfolio of completed projects.
This hands-on role involves travel to client sites throughout the UK so the ability to travel and stay away for short periods is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and aftercare visits
- Undertake basic repairs to cladding, decking, doors, windows, locks, guttering, and other building elements
- Complete decorating, cleaning, timber treatment, and pressure washing tasks
- Inspect and troubleshoot reported issues
- Check and maintain fire safety and other site equipment
- Liaise with clients, colleagues, contractors, and specialist suppliers
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment on a regular basis
- Follow planned maintenance schedules and support our operations team with project delivery where required
About You
You'll be practical, reliable, and comfortable working independently while delivering excellent customer service.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Basic carpentry (first and second fix)
- Basic plumbing (fix leaking tap etc) and electrical maintenance (replace fuses, bulbs etc)
- Decorating, painting, and general maintenance skills
- Previous experience of working directly with customers
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organise work, prioritise tasks, and use initiative
- Full, clean UK driving licence

Hours: Permanent, full-time
Salary: From £27,000, dependent on experience
Location: East Sussex (must be able to travel and have own transport due to rural location)
