Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of building and renovation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a broad range of construction skills to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their career within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry work, including framing, fitting, and finishing
Undertake roofing tasks such as repairs, installations, and maintenance
Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete various tasks
Fabricate components on-site or in workshops as required for specific projects
Assist in site preparation, clean-up, and organisation to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in general building trades with a broad skill set in construction activities
Knowledge of carpentry, plaster boarding, plastering and masonry is highly desirable
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to building tasks
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards on-site
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not essential for all skills listed
Must be punctual and committed to working
Weekend work available
