Front of House Staff – Oh My Kimchi (Plymouth)

Oh My Kimchi is a proudly independent Korean restaurant born in Exeter, and we're bringing bold, authentic Korean flavours to Plymouth. Our brand-new restaurant on Old Town Street — right next to Drake Circus Shopping Centre — is opening soon, and you'd be joining us right from the start. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys looking after people and takes pride in delivering a great dining experience every single service.

The role

As a Front of House team member, you'll be the face of Oh My Kimchi — the first person our customers see and the last impression they leave with. You'll work closely with the kitchen to make sure every guest feels welcomed, well looked after, and leaves wanting to come back.

Your responsibilities:

Greet and welcome every customer warmly, ensuring a friendly, professional and attentive level of service throughout their visit
Take orders accurately using our POS system, guiding customers through the menu and supporting them in making their choices when needed
Ensure all orders are dispatched promptly, correctly fulfilled and presented to the right standard before reaching the customer
Process payments accurately, handling card transactions with care and attention
Proactively communicate customer allergies, dietary requirements and special needs to the kitchen team, ensuring nothing is missed
Address any customer concerns or complaints calmly and professionally, working to resolve them quickly and to the customer's satisfaction
Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming front-of-house and dining area throughout service
Ensure all orders are prepared promptly and support /assist the kitchen with food preparation when needed
Carry out any additional duties as directed by the management team

Your rota:

Tuesday 11:30–14:00 | Wednesday 14:00–22:00 | Thursday 11:30–14:00 | Friday 11:30–14:00 | Sunday 11:30–20:00

Approx. 22h paid per week. Monday and Saturday off.

Unpaid breaks: under 4h = none · 5h = 20 min · 6h = 30 min · 7h = 40 min · 8h+ = 1 hour.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK (essential)
Korean language skills are an advantage but not required
Previous front of house or hospitality experience desirable — enthusiastic newcomers welcome
