Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Re-pack Operative to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, preparing products for dispatch, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse environment. Duties
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment.
- Re-packing products to meet quality standards and prepare them for shipping or storage
- Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately
- Managing shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Picking and packing orders with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Stocking shelves and organising stock within the warehouse to optimise space utilisation
- Conducting quality control checks on products to ensure compliance with company standards
- Performing heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting equipment when necessary
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred, especially in stock management, picking & packing, or shipping & receiving roles
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is advantageous; valid certification is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or movement within the warehouse environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing, inventory management, and quality control processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
