Garden House Hospice Care is looking for an ambitious and proactive Fundraising Coordinator to join our Income Generation team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building partnerships, spotting opportunities and turning conversations into long-term support for a much-loved local charity.
We are Garden House Hospice Care, the Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and the surrounding villages. We are a multi-award-winning charity that puts patients and families at the heart of everything we do.
It costs £6.5 million each year to provide our services. Whilst we receive some funding from the NHS, we still need to over £7000 every day through the incredible support of our local community, businesses and supporters.
Working within our Relationship Fundraising Team, you will play a key role in growing income and developing long-term supporter relationships across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, Central Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.
This is certainly not a desk-based fundraising role however you will be expected to be based and working from the Hospice when not out in the community or at meetings.
We are looking for someone who enjoys getting out into the community, making connections, identifying opportunities and inspiring people to support the Hospice.
You'll work with local businesses, community groups, sports clubs, volunteers and individual fundraisers, helping them to maximise their support whilst actively seeking new opportunities to grow our reach and income.
Success in this role will come from your ability to build meaningful relationships, generate new fundraising opportunities and deliver exceptional supporter experiences that encourage long-term engagement with the Hospice.

Supporting a range of Hospice-led and third-party fundraising initiatives
We're looking for someone with energy, initiative, confidence, and a passion for building relationships.
You'll ideally have:

Experience in fundraising, sales, business development, account management or relationship management.

A proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of people.

Confidence in approaching new organisations and supporters.

Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills.

A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to spot opportunities and make things happen.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, driven and excited by the opportunity to help generate vital income that makes a real difference to local patients and families.
This is a part-time role of 27 hours per week office based at the hospice: Alternative/flexible working patterns will be considered but mandatory working days will be Mondays and Fridays.
There will be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends to support events and community activities.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
