Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Site Operative to join our team. This role involves supporting various outdoor maintenance and construction projects, ensuring the upkeep and development of landscaped areas and sites. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, practical skills, and a keen eye for detail to contribute effectively to our operations.
Duties
- Carry out landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and general gardening to uphold high standards of site appearance.
- Operate a range of power tools, hand tools, and machinery including excavators and irrigation systems to facilitate construction and maintenance activities.
- Assist with construction projects by preparing sites, handling materials, and supporting the installation of features or structures.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Support with general site clearance, waste removal, and organisation of materials.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or construction is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with power tools, hand tools, excavators, and irrigation systems are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; good level of fitness is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Valid relevant certifications or licences for operating machinery such as excavators are preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive approach with good communication skills and a commitment to safety standards.
- Personal qualities include reliability, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills related to site maintenance and development.
Pay: From £550.00 per week
