Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Sales Assistant to join our community pharmacy team at Papworth Pharmacy, Papworth Everard, CB233QQ. In this varied role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing outstanding service on the shop floor, whe supporting the smooth running of the pharmacy retail area. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in healthcare, possess strong organisational skills, and be committed to delivering compassionate patient care. Previous experience in pharmacy settings is highly desirable. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills within the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their pharmacy needs
- Provide information on over-the-counter medicines and health products
- Support pharmacy technicians with medication sales and inventory management
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and stock levels
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Assist in managing patient queries and providing basic guidance on medication usage under supervision
- Support the pharmacy team during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards when handling sensitive patient information
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the pharmacy setting
- A genuine interest in healthcare and helping others
Working Hours (Total 19.5hr/week) - Set hours
Monday: 10am-6pm (30min unpaid lunch)
Tuesday-Thursday (2pm-6pm)
