Full job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Café & Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Manor Wildlife Park. You will support both front of house and kitchen operations, ensuring excellent customer service and high food safety standards in a busy zoo café environment.

You will be involved in taking orders, preparing food and drinks, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace while working as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Serve customers at the till and take food and drink orders accurately
Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee machine use
Assist with basic food preparation and assembling menu items
Maintain cleanliness of front of house, kitchen areas, and service points
Follow food hygiene, allergen, and safety procedures at all times
Restock items and ensure smooth daily operations
Provide friendly, professional customer service in a busy environment
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house team members

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or a café/food service environment
Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
Good communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Requirements

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred). If not held, training will be provided by the employer
Barista or coffee machine experience
Experience in food preparation or kitchen work

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
