This key role will provide HR administrative and operational support within wider HR team, acting as the first point of contact for routine HR queries from employees and managers. The role ensures accurate and timely administration of HR processes, including HR system updates, onboarding and offboarding activities, and employee lifecycle documentation, supporting the team to deliver an effective and compliant employee experience.
Your responsibilities in this role include:

Act as the first point of contact for routine HR queries from employees and managers, providing accurate information and escalating where appropriate

Process HR transactions accurately and in a timely manner within the HR system (e.g. UKG, Workday or equivalent)

Prepare and issue offer letters, employment contracts, and employment variation documentation
-
Support the HR Generalists with employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, changes, and leavers
-
Coordinate onboarding activities, including new starter documentation, right-to-work checks, induction materials, and first-day arrangements
-
Administer leaver processes, ensuring system updates are completed and relevant stakeholders (e.g. IT and Security) are notified

Maintain accurate employee records and HR files, ensuring data integrity and compliance with policy and legal requirements

Support HR reporting by producing basic reports and using Excel to check and organise employee data

Support benefits administration, including enrolments, changes, and responding to employee queries

Support administration of pension/retirement schemes, including onboarding employees and processing documentation with payroll/providers

Support the HR Generalists with the administration of ER cases (administration of letters and acting as notetaker)

Support recruitment administration activities as required, including coordinating interviews, scheduling candidate meetings, and liaising with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process

Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (Skillsoft), supporting user access, course enrolments, training records, and responding to employee learning-related queries

Handle sensitive and confidential employee information appropriately, in compliance with GDPR

Provide general administrative support to the HR team as required

Previous experience in an administrative or office-based support role, ideally within an HR or people-focused environment

Experience handling employee data, documentation, or structured administrative processes

Experience using HR systems or databases (e.g. UKG, Workday or similar) is desirable

Experience producing and checking accurate documentation and data
-
Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail

Experience dealing with internal customers or responding to queries in a professional setting

Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
