Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Ice Cream Maker to join our vibrant team. This role involves creating high-quality, delicious ice cream in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all products meet our strict food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a love for food preparation and excellent time management skills, contributing to a memorable customer experience. Previous barista experience or serving skills are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and produce a variety of ice cream flavours according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate and maintain ice cream machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at all times
- Serve customers with friendly and attentive service, providing information about different flavours and options
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues
- Assist in the presentation of products to ensure visual appeal and consistency
- Maintain a clean work environment by sanitising work surfaces and equipment regularly
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all stages of food preparation
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
- Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience in food preparation or culinary arts is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and handling cash transactions if required
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
