Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our vibrant coffee shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a busy environment, ensure excellent customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The Coffee Shop Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing operational procedures, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during all opening hours
- Lead and supervise staff, including baristas, kitchen assistants, and service personnel
- Manage food preparation and ensure the consistent quality of beverages and light food offerings
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Coordinate staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to promote team development
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Implement promotional activities to increase sales and enhance the shop’s reputation
- Uphold organisational policies related to health & safety, food production, and hospitality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience in food production within a café or restaurant setting; barista experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused attitude with exceptional communication skills
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, serving standards, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to lead by example while maintaining a positive working environment
